Fortunately, I was lucky enough to go on a movie date with my husband last Monday. It was at GSC, Gardens Mid Valley. We thought of a little splurge for ourselves so, we bought the Gold Class tickets for two. Movie was What To Expect When You're Expecting. Since we are expecting our second baby, we thought why not we watch it. Just to compare what it is like in the movies and my real pregnancy.
Also, trying to enjoy some time off from little princess. Hehe!
We were excited to try the Gold Class seats. With duvets and reclining seats. Too bad for me that my seat had a little defect. It couldn't be reclined at all. The worst part was that I only realised that problem in the middle of the show. So, I just didn't bother to change my seat elsewhere.
Movie was great. Not great great but okay great. I cried a lot as I could relate to one of the characters, Wendy played by Elizabeth Banks. My husband and I agreed that I was so like her when I first got pregnant, or even now! The tiredness, the laziness, the grumpiness and all that's related to it. Other characters were too fictional for me. Funny and sad and happy all at the same time.
However, there was something unpleasant happened towards the end of the movie. The movie was just cut off, like a blackout. Of course there were unhappy voices hollering in the hall but somehow they managed to fix the problem. I, on the other hand was too caught up with the crying and so on. Guess what? That is so me when I'm pregnant. Too emotional about oh so many things. Please ignore me!
To parents to be out there. This is a kind of good movie to watch. Not only entertaining, but also eye-opening. Some women have the glow during pregnancy, others don't. Some are always happy and jovial, others feel like crap. Some don't even have a single stretch mark appear anywhere on their body parts, others are just plain unlucky to have it everywhere plus the varicose veins. Well, what I'm trying to say is, pregnancy is beautiful but it is different for every single woman. But the ultimate prize is when you look at your baby, you forget about everything that happened during the 9 months, good or bad! It's just completely about THE BABY.
Happy watching and making babies everyone. Remember that babies are blessings from up above. Enjoy them!!!!
